Winter Weather and Tire Pressure

Winter is Most Definitely Here!



 

The cold weather can cause common problems in your vehicle. One of the most common issues that the change in weather brings is the change in tire pressure in a vehicle. Often during the cold months, tire pressure lights will come on unexpectedly.

Owners may notice this light a lot when weather changes quickly



  Owners are advised to check their tire pressure monthly but during the colder months they may want to consider doing so on a more regular basis.

 

Failure to maintain recommended tire pressure may result in rapid tire wear, a less fuel efficient vehicle, and problems when handeling and stopping the vehicle.

Honda: A Tale of Two Kitties

Here is not one, but two stories that will make you say "awww."

The first is the story of Love

Love: The kitten rescued from the engine of a Honda Fit. 

Over the weekend, a curious kitten climbed its way into the hood of a Honda Fit, and ended up stuck in the engine compartment. The owner of the vehicle heard meowing and  was unable to find the kitten after searching the vehicle for the source of the sound. The driver then proceeded to drive 1,000 miles across two states, unaware the kitten was still in the engine compartment. At the end of the drive the owner heard meowing coming from the engine once more. After an extensive search, the tiny kitten was found and rescued! The kitten has been named Love after the tow driver that helped rescue him. Love was not hurt during the long drive and is doing fine today!

The second is a similar story, the story of Flynn

Flynn's story actually took place at our Honda location. Abandoned and without a mother, Flynn's fate was not looking very good. Flynn had wandered into our service center and spent the night in our mechanic shop and was found hiding in the corner the next morning. He was given the temporary name of Mr. Skittles and a bed to sleep in. Spoiled all day and sleeping with a belly full of food, Flynn was adopted by an employee and is enjoying his new home!

Flynn looks much better today!
